On January 28, the China Water Environment Group held its 2024 annual work conference and commendation ceremony for outstanding employees at its headquarters in Beijing. The conference comprehensively reviewed the group's work in 2023, assessed the current situation, clarified goals, and systematically deployed the key tasks of the group for 2024.

Hou Feng, Chairman of the China Water Environment Group and Secretary of the Party Branch, along with Vice Presidents Chen Ming, Li Feng, Zhang Lujing, leaders at all levels of the group, and representatives of outstanding employees participated in the headquarters meeting, while representatives from 50 branch venues attended via online conferencing system.

Vice President Chen Ming delivered the 2023 Annual Work Report and Work Requirements for 2024, reviewing the key work and achievements of the past year. He stated that the group, with the principle of "steadiness and progress", adhered to the policy of "doing what should be done and not doing what should not be done", proactively slowed down investment, vigorously fought the battle of revenue collection, continuously deepened the "three improvements", and continued to build the company's technical brand. With zero accidents in safety production throughout the year, the company achieved steady, sustained, healthy, and high-quality development. At the same time, he deeply analyzed the situation and shortcomings faced by the group's development, emphasizing that in 2024, efforts should focus on promoting high-quality development, highlighting key points, grasping crucial factors, and solidly carrying out economic work. Chairman Hou Feng pointed out that the industry engaged in by the group is an important part of Beautiful China. Currently, it is at a historical juncture of change and opportunity, where people's aspirations for a better life and global demands for higher environmental quality and safety remain unchanged. Innovation is the only sustainable strategy for enterprises to create long-term value. With technological innovation as the lever, we must fortify the company's defenses, including technology, process productization, team, and corporate culture. The entire group must have firm confidence, perseverance, correct understanding, proper methods, and execution in place, seizing policy opportunities, traversing industry cycles, and striving to build a world-class national brand in water environmental governance.

The conference commended and rewarded outstanding teams and individuals for the year 2023. Assistant to the Group President, Fang Yunchuan, read out the Decision on Commending Outstanding Teams and Individuals of the Group in 2023, and outstanding representatives expressed their gratitude upon receiving the awards. The conference also screened the video Forge Ahead in Water Environment: Top 10 Events of 2023, selecting ten representative events from 130 key matters in 22 provinces and cities of the group, comprehensively showcasing the achievements in party building leadership, brand building, technological innovation, and operation management.
